Electromagnetic Shielding

Electromagnetic shielding by conducting sheets can be performed in CHRONOS™. Leaky fields through the holes of the conducting sheets can be calculated in CHRONOS™ over a band of frequency.

Electromagnetic modeling of a car with dimensions of 4.8m x 1.75m x 1.3m due to incident plane wave is solved by CHRONOS™. This problem is modeled using 797 x 418 x 411 cells for incident transient pulse with frequency band 3GHz – 6.5 GHz. The problem is solved using Intel (R) core (TM) i7-3930K CPU@ 3.20 GHz 3.20 GHz with 64 GB RAM and 64 bit operating system. The H-field is animated on the whole surface of the car as shown below.
