and Solid Edge to allow true representation of complex geometric shapes. In some cases, the
draft person is not working in the same office or with the same software as the IES user.
Rather than purchase an IES license for the draft person or a CAD license for the IES user,

IES IMPORT lets the drafting person import a 3D model from solid modeling software,
zoom in and out and rotate the model to ensure the model is accurate. The model can then be
saved to an IES database format and sent to the IES 3D user for further analysis.
