About Us

INTEGRATED is a leading developer of hybrid simulation tools for design analysis.
Founded in 1984, INTEGRATED provides a complete line of fully integrated 2 and 3 dimensional simulation software. Easy to use, INTEGRATED’ products allow engineers and scientists to design, simulate and optimize complex electromagnetic devices and systems on the computer before building a physical prototype.

Simulation software allows professionals to design via computer simulations thereby reducing costs and risks associated with physical prototyping. It allows companies to reduce design time and costs, spend less money on expensive prototypes, improve product performance, decrease time to market and ultimately increase profitability.

INTEGRATED is staffed with leading R&D engineers in electrical engineering, magnetics, and high frequency applications. The company provides its expertise in the electromagnetic, electromechanical and electrothermal analysis software field for the industrial, automotive, medical, telecommunications, power and aerospace markets.

Company Commitment

INTEGRATED is committed to providing the best simulation tools possible enabling our customers to create the best designs possible.

INTEGRATED is a developer of leading edge simulation software. INTEGRATED introduced the first commercial boundary element (BEM) software on the PC environment for solving static electrical and magnetic 2D fields. This was followed by 3D electric and magnetic field solvers employing the boundary element method.

A high frequency solver was then introduced mainly for antenna design. The scope of problems the high frequency solver can handle since then has been radically increased. Due to customer demand, a thermal module has been added to the suite of products to calculate thermal fields generated by losses in the electromagnetic field.

More recently the more common finite element method (FEM) has been included within the solvers. State of the art development is now being done to combine both BEM and FEM within one problem to provide the best simulation attainable.

Our specialty program LORENTZ has been developed for particle optics. The boundary element method is the ideal tool for many charged particle optics applications.

Integrated Environment

As the name of the company suggests, all the programs are seamlessly integrated, starting from a concept, through entry of the geometry and physics of the problem, to the selection of type of solver and the problem's solution. Once the problem has been solved, a vast number of parameters can be calculated or the field quantities displayed.

Integration with our CAD partners allows complex geometries to be imported directly into the software. Tools are provided to enable the CAD geometry to be modified into a true engineering drawing. All of this is done within the same design environment.

Optimization

The key to any simulation software is the ability to change a parameter parametrically and find its effect. The parametric ability found in the INTEGRATED software is designed to solve this problem. Geometric parameters and physical parameters are readily changed through an intuitive interface which makes the old style of scripting obsolete.

True Modeling of Geometry

Like all the major CAD vendors INTEGRATED models the geometry using a NURBS (Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline) representation, wherein the true geometry is maintained throughout the simulation process. In contrast many simulation programs use a large number of flat patches to approximate the geometry.

CAD Partners

In addition to a built-in geometric modeler, INTEGRATED has joined forces with major CAD vendors to enable the seamless import of existing 3D mdoels. INTEGRATED' partners are AutoDesk, Solid Edge, Parametric Technologies/Pro Engineer and Solid Works. These products are required to be running alongside the INTEGRATED software. The model imported from these CAD programs normally has to be massaged such that it can be used for a boundary element or finite element solution.

Coupled Analysis (Multiphysics)

For many electromechanical systems it is important for the various solvers to be coupled. For example, for induction heating the induced eddy currents are used for heating up a part. This magnetic analysis is affected by the thermal analysis and visa versa. Thus, the electromagnetic solvers need to be coupled with the thermal solvers. Such a coupling is done with INDUCTO.

For particle trajectory calculations, the path of the particle may be determined by a DC magnetic and electric field as well as a time harmonic high frequency field. In such cases all three fields need to be coupled to determine the path of the particle. This is handled directly with LORENTZ.

Other systems can be coupled as determined by the physics of the problem.

Live Demonstration

To find out if our products meet your requirements, we offer a live one-to-one demonstration over the Internet. You will be working directly with one of our Technical Support people. They will be able to either demonstrate how our products fit your needs or, where possible, actually model and solve your test case. This can be arranged with one of our Sales Representatives.

Evaluation Period

INTEGRATED encourages prospective customers to make use of our 30-day evaluation of the software. After making contact with one of our Sales Representatives, the program and a security key are shipped. During the following 30 days, we encourage someone looking at the software to make full use of our Technical Support staff, while using the software. As you will receive a full working version of this easy-to-use software, you will be able to make sure it meets your design needs.

Excellent Technical Support

When using advanced simulation tools it is critical that they be backed by people with years of experience in solving a wide range of problems. In many cases problems that may have taken the user of the software days to figure out can be solved by a highly knowledgeable support person in minutes. These problems may relate to the usage of the software, understanding the physics of the setup of the problem, to interpreting the final results. INTEGRATED takes pride in the depth and extensive knowledge accumulated by its support people over many years.
