Electro Mechanical Systems

Overview

Real world problems require the ability to design magnetic and electric components to produce needed forces and torques, such as motor and solenoid design. Optimal designs are restricted by package size, weight, thermal considerations, available power and many other environmental limitations.

INTEGRATED’s advanced electromagnetic simulation tools are state of the art. These tools use the Finite Element Method (FEM), Boundary Element Method (BEM) and for some special applications a HYBRID of both methods. Problem geometries can be directly imported from all the major CAD vendors or created within the software. More importantly, the geometry can then be optimized using the sophisticated parametric tools built into the software. These software tools have been used to solve tough industrial problems for over 20 years.

Ultimately all electromechanical systems require a power source. As well, the entire system, including all mechanical, hydraulic, and thermal loading needs to be modeled. INTEGRATED’s link with CASPOC, a total system simulator, enable the complete system to be simulated.
