How can I import commercial CAD designs?
Starting with version 6.0, Integrated Engineering Software (INTEGRATED) tools have a direct memory access to major CAD packages. This makes a more accurate and seamless import than using CAD file exchange formats. With the model open in the CAD package, look down the File menu for Import and choose your CAD program from the list. Note that Pro-E and SDRC require some additional setup as outlined in
INTEGRATED's CAE tools also accept IGES, DXF, STEP and SAT format files. The IGES, DXF, STEP and SAT file formats are standard CAD design file transfer formats. All major CAD systems provided one or more formats as an output option. IES imports IGES, DXF, STEP and SAT file formats and provides tools to edit the imported CAD designs.
In addition, each of INTEGRATED's CAE tools come with complete built-in CAD toolset.
