Solenoidal coils can usually be analyzed through our electromagnetic simulation software, using a MAGNETO RS model with excellent results. More complex coil shapes may require a full AMPERES analysis. The Boundary Element Method in our CAE software has a particular advantage for this application because of its ability to generate extremely accurate field calculations in open regions.
